Chief of Staff

We are seeking a Chief of Staff to join the Sparklos team. The right person has enthusiasm for solving problems, putting in place systems and processes, and communicating with influence. This is a unique and challenging opportunity in that you will balance dual roles, both external and internal. Firstly, you will lead client engagements as a senior Chief of Staff, typically as part of a broader engagement involving Sparklos principals and often other Sparklos executive support team members (e.g. Business Manager, Executive Communications, etc.). The second part of the role includes, documenting and helping to develop replicable workflows, systems and tools that will have broad and meaningful impact to all of Sparklos’ clients.
Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strong consulting and advisory skillset including analytical capabilities, ability to synthesize content and translate it into recommendations and deliverables.

Introduce rhythms and meetings that are high value and contribute to decision making, culture and information flow.

Design business processes, organizational initiatives, governance structures and measurement programs to meet client needs.

Be a systems thinker, meaning you enjoy bringing structure, systems and processes to make things operate optimally.

Identify and document workflow best practices in service of product and client needs.

Run automation experiments to test where we can inculcate great habits and behaviors.
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience/skill sets:
-
Experience at a large consulting firm like Deloitte, McKinsey, BCG or other.
-
Experience as a Chief of Staff or Business Manager in a large corporation.
-
BA or BS degree is required, prefer advanced degree such as an MBA.
-
6+ years of experience in managing the successful delivery of consultative engagements across multiple clients or similar experience as a Chief of Staff or Business Manager.

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

Adept at problem solving and logical structuring of ideas and information

Ability to effectively work in cross functional teams

Flexibility and ability to adapt to best meet the needs of clients

Demonstrates consulting agility and is adept at managing and influencing client dynamics.

Executive Communications Leader

We are seeking a communications professional to join the Sparklos team. The right person has enthusiasm for communicating with influence, solving problems, and crafting communications that will reach senior leaders and thousands of employees. This is a unique and challenging opportunity in that you will balance dual roles, both external and internal. Firstly, you will lead client engagements as an Executive Communications leader typically as part of a broader engagement involving Sparklos principals and often other Sparklos executive support team members (e.g. Business Manager, Chief of Staff etc.). The second part of the role includes developing communications for Sparklos and developing replicable workflows, systems and tools that will have broad and meaningful impact to all of Sparklos’ clients.
Job Responsibilities:

Create all forms of written content for Vice President at major technology client, including speechwriting, think pieces, talking points, written correspondence, and social media posts

Support writing and development of internal messages from leaders, with a focus on aligning themes and appropriately cascading communications.

Partner with marketing, media, and Chief of Staff teams to develop and implement an integrated program to amplify and align key internal audiences.

Proactively own and drive high-profile communication engagements that feature senior leaders and chief of staffs, including Town Halls, all-staff emails/newsletters, and senior leadership communications.

5+ years of experience working in communications, journalism, policy or politics

Experience distilling complex issues or topics into digestible briefs and talking points

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Writing, English or a related discipline

Able to perform successfully and produce results in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, client-oriented environment; must have the raw intelligence.

Product Manager

We are seeking a Product Manager to join the Sparklos team. The right person has the capacity to define and articulate a grounded product vision for solving customer needs and creating value, to marshal the resources and enthusiasm to build said product, and to sustain, direct and iterate with the product team until it achieves its aims.
You will lead select client engagements as a senior Product Manager helping clients build customer and product insight, create product roadmaps, lead cross functional teams through build to launch of technical products and services. You will identify and facilitate opportunities for senior executive level engagements between the client and their customers to identify and deliver new programs, capabilities and delivery and engagement models to improve customer engagement and deepen long term strategic relationships. You will also work with sales, marketing and support teams on go to market strategy and execution and innovating and improving ongoing customer support and engagement.

Think strategically about technology and where the market for cloud services is headed in order to anticipate customer needs.

Solicit customer feedback from internal and external customers and distill into requirement documentation.

Work with agility inside a large organization to bring together engineering, product teams, marketing and sales to develop new product concepts.

Create Product Management artifacts such as Product Requirement Documents, executive presentations to explain and sell-in new product concepts and GTM strategies for said products.

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience / skillsets:

BA or BS degree is required, prefer advanced degree such as an MBA or MS in technical field.

Technical background, demonstrated ability to influence and work with engineers, designers and other technical staff.

5+ years of experience in product management, including experience building infrastructure to handle scale and accommodate expanding customer use cases.

Prefer experience at a large consulting firm like Deloitte, McKinsey, BCG, etc. or other evidence of flexibility and ability to adapt to best meet the needs of consulting clients and ability to manage and influence client dynamics.

Outstanding ability to process and synthesize information, grasp new concepts and quickly form models to logically structure ideas and information and work towards solution of complex problems. General intellectual prowess.

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

Demonstrated leadership around product or business initiatives. Ability to articulate vision, customer and stakeholder recommendations, balance tradeoffs and get time and energy resources of others focused on execution of said vision. Primarily through an influence model where there is no direct reporting relationship.
